Mercy Learning Online - Computer Skills

If a student needs help with a particular skill, the student is asked to share that need immediately with the teacher so help may be provided.
In order to progress successfully in an online course, students must have or develop these skills:

 - Sending and receiving messages by e-mail, including attachments

 - Bookmarking websites on the Internet

 - Participating in course online discussions on the platform discussion board

 - Saving attachments to one's computer

 - Software - students are asked to have Adobe Reader, use Microsoft Word for documents and have access to PowerPoint. If a student does not personally have PowerPoint, please arrange with a friend, library, etc. to gain access for viewing material and completing various assignments.

To avoid loss of work, students are asked to print out and save a copy of all assignments submitted. This work should be saved until final grades are received. Students should also print out and save e-mails received from their teachers.
